Welcome to the application page for the Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum’s (LESMC) first full four day Summer Institute. During this 4 day professional development session, participants will:

1. Be introduced to the Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum framework, specifically the seven guiding principles and the five s’s (self, stories, systems, solidarity and social movements) which are the foundation of LESMC units and lessons.
2. Become engaged in the process of lesson development, be privy to the lessons on “self" and "stories”  presented by members of the LESMC team and will receive copies of all completed lessons. 
3. Be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance in developing lessons on Ethnic Studies for students from Kindergarten-12th grade.​
