Mary LeviMary Levi is a citizen of the Hopi Tribe, and a descendent of the Tuolumne Me-wuk tribe. She is a retired career elementary educator of 33 years with 31 years in the Upland Unified School district. Her last assignment included both 4th and 5th grades. Her advocacy aims at the development and implementation of accurate Native American curriculum in California. She continues to advocate through the California Teachers Association and is the former Chair of the California Teachers Association’s American Indian/Alaska Native Caucus. She enjoys writing Native American Curriculum for Liberated Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum Consortium.
